Autumn Beach Postcards
For this design I was thinking of cool walks on the beach and a chance to enjoy autumn at the shore.
The design was inspired by postcards, and JoLyn at Acorns & Threads delivered a beautiful postcard-style finish! (I understand that you could theoretically put them in the mail, but that might require more courage than I currently possess. Regardless, there's the opportunity for a nice message on the back or a memory of your trip.) The models were stitched by Stacey Walker.
The models are stitched on 40 count "Stonewashed" linen from Seraphim. Stitch count for each one is 60 x 100.
Threads Used:
DMC - 0021, 300, 353, 469, 501, 646, 730, 739, 832, 919, 937, 945, 3031, 3821, 3826, 3865
Weeks - Sea Foam, Verdigris, Blue Jeans, Bee's Knees, Shepard's Blue, Marmalade
Classic Colorworks - Old Marigold
A DMC conversion is included for the overdyed threads. The fabric is a pale mottled blue, and the closest DMC is about 926.
